When the Boston Globe's Spotlight team released its incredible series of articles on child sex abuse and the Catholic Church, there was hope that victims of this abuse would finally get justice. The articles inspired an Academy Award-winning movie released in 2015. It has sadly not proven inspirational for some lawmakers, who continue to frustrate efforts to help people sexually abused as children hold their attackers liable.
Most experienced motorcyclists attempt to avoid collisions by laying down the bike prior to impact. The most common scenario for laying down a bike occurs when a passenger car or truck drives into the oncoming path of the motorcycle by failing to yield the legal right of way to the motorcyclist. A 52-year-old Lynchburg man was killed Friday morning when the driver of a passenger vehicle failed to yield to him. The victim was riding his Harley Davidson on U.S. 50 near the intersection of Danville Road when the accident occurred.

A motorcycle collision in Monroe Township seriously injured two people on Saturday. A 43-year-old Cincinnati was riding his motorcycle with a Cincinnati woman, 47, as his passenger when he collided with a Dodge Neon. The female suffered serious head injuries and is fighting for her life.
Ohio officials recently shut down Autumn Health Care Nursing Home in Zanesville after witnessing shockingly poor care at the facility. The patient care was so horrible that the Ohio Attorney General's Office is considering filing criminal charges.
