Biography

Michael C. Zimmerman is a trial lawyer who is motivated by helping others. Prior to private practice, Mike was the countywide elected prosecutor for Campbell County. As the Commonwealth Attorney, Mike gained a reputation for seeking justice and having great success in the courtroom. His abilities in the courtroom have led to significant jury trial verdicts, which include several high-profile cases. He has appeared on Fox 19, 700 WLW, the A&E Network, and a variety of podcasts related to his cases and legal experience.

His considerable experience gives him unique insight as a criminal defense lawyer and an unparalleled ability to exact the best possible outcomes for his clients.

In 2023, he was selected as the state of Kentucky’s “Outstanding Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney” by the Kentucky Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Association. Licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky, Mike stands firm for his clients on both sides of the river. His representation comes with a fire driven by a competitive spirit that has always been a part of him. He was a standout athlete at Newport Central Catholic High School in Newport, Kentucky and eventually, a collegiate basketball player for Park University near Kansas City, Missouri. He is a member of the Newport Central Catholic Hall of Fame and a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.

When he’s not working, Mike is with his wife and three daughters. He is active in his community and is affiliated with local charitable organizations and projects. He enjoys coaching his daughters’ basketball teams and in recent years, Michael has been a teacher and head coach for the Mock Trial team at Newport Central Catholic High School.
