Haughey & Niehaus Joins Rittgers & Rittgers

Joining Forces

We are excited to announce that the law offices of Haughey & Niehaus are joining forces with Rittgers & Rittgers. The acquisition will help all of us at Rittgers & Rittgers better serve people facing legal challenges in Butler County, Ohio.

In addition to the convenient office location for Area I Court, the four attorneys from the former Haughey & Niehaus firm bring a strong presence in Oxford and throughout Butler County.

Dan Haughey was born and raised in Butler County. Dan is the Judge for Area III Court in West Chester, taught at Miami University, and coached the Miami University Mock Trial Team. Erik Niehaus was also born and raised in Butler County. He was a police officer for Miami University Police Department, former Police Chief for West Chester Police Department, and since becoming a lawyer, is a part-time prosecutor in Hamilton Municipal Court. Neal Schuett and Gus Lazaras are also both connected to Miami University through the Mock Trial Team and teaching at Miami University. Gus and Neal are two of the most respected and knowledgeable lawyers who handle Miami University discipline proceedings; specifically, the OESCR process.

Rittgers & Rittgers is accustomed to handling a variety of matters in Butler County. Adding the four attorneys from the former Haughey & Niehaus to the Rittgers team bolsters our Butler County practice.

The acquisition was a natural fit as the firms share a commitment to high-quality, client-centered representation. If you have any questions about our services or how the merger might affect you, please call us at 513-932-2115 or contact us online.

Unwavering Commitment

Neither firm made the decision to join forces lightly. Our clients deserve the attention, care, dedication and skill that they have come to expect of us over the years. We know just how much is at stake for you in the legal process.

Office Locations

Our two firms are truly merging. The Haughey & Niehaus office in Oxford, right across the street from Area I Court, will now be a Rittgers & Rittgers office and Dan, Erik, Gus and Neal will still be holding meetings at that office. Rittgers & Rittgers will continue to have offices in Lebanon, Cincinnati and other Ohio locations. We will continue to serve clients, old and new, in all of our office locations under the Rittgers & Rittgers name.
