Helping Those Injured on Interstate 75 in Ohio

Interstate 75 is heavily traveled by Cincinnati commuters and commercial truck drivers. It intersects with I-74 and I-71, making it extremely important to many in Hamilton and Butler counties. Unfortunately, a significant number of car and truck accidents occur daily on Interstate 75.

I-75 can be dangerous because of a variety of things: congestion, construction and drivers unfamiliar with the area. When one I-75 accident occurs, the chances of another collision occurring increase as emergency lane closures and rubber-necking drivers bring added danger.

At Rittgers Rittgers & Nakajima, we are experienced in helping clients who are suffering after an I-75 crash. We have an experienced and acclaimed staff of attorneys who understands how to deal with insurance companies and defense lawyers. Call 513-496-0134 or email us to secure a consultation with an Ohio interstate accident attorney.

Notable I-75 Accidents

Below, we have listed a few of the notable accidents occurring on Interstate 75 in recent years. They demonstrate the different types of vehicles and situations that may be involved in fatal I-75 crashes.

More than 30 people were injured in Butler County when a Greyhound bus overturned on I-75 North. The September 2013 accident occurred in bizarre fashion, as the bus driver lost consciousness while choking on his coffee.

Two people were killed when a negligent truck driver failed to safely slow down and merge into one lane in an I-75 South construction zone. The truck struck the rear of a car, propelling it into another semi truck. The chain reaction continued, as the second truck careened into two more automobiles. The fatal trucking accident occurred in Miami County in August 2013.

A dump truck accident killed an Ohio man in October 2013. The victim’s truck bed began to rise while he was driving on I-75 South and his vehicle overturned when the extended bed struck an overpass. The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
